old ornament?

Hello everyone. Can anyone tell me what this is and about when it was manufactured? I found this old ornament about 10 years ago with an Ultra GTA 350 Garrett metal detector. I have since upgraded to an ACE 250. I believe the object that I found is an ornament and most likely made in the 1800's (possibly earlier). I found it in a cow pasture about 4 inches deep. I can not go metal detecting there again because a house is now built there. Sorry if the images look huge, but this enables you look at the detail of the ornament. Please let me know with any information that you can about this ornament. Thank you!

it could be part of a wind chime. Does anyone have an idea where I can look for something like this?

Better try antique hanging light fixtures ........ That's my guess .....

Trivet. Used for sitting hot pots on atop a table.

It could be a trivet. I have not found any pictures that look similar to it. The object could possibly hold something as big as a tea cup. It does not have any feet so it would lay flat on a table.
