Old Park gives up British Copper and Barber Dime.

I went to an old park yesterday in my town and hunted for about six hours. I was competing with two radio transmitters, for the air waves, that are less than a half mile away, on on each side of the park. I found that to get the SE to run stable I had to turned the sensitivity down to 15 but could get away with 20 at times. I dug up the Copper in a spot that I'd been over many times with another brand. It was about 7-8" down and on edge. I dug it only because I heard about high tones mixed in with Iron and this target was on both upper corners of the screen. I really didn't know what it was, I at first assumed it was a large cent because in its warn condition it looked like lady liberty. When I checked the red book I found no cents that matched. The hair had no bun (like a cent) plus it looks like a pony tail. It was today that I picked up a W&E Treasures magazine and saw a coin that matched on page 26. I still can't believe it but I am in the heart of New England and there is a lot here. This is the oldest coin I've found beating a 1/2 Real I found in East Hampton. The Barber, I found on my way back to the car 6" down on its side. I was using Captain's program with Fast on, 1050 coil. I have to problems running it on lower sensitivity.
