Now mind you I'm not bragging on myself. I'm just really happy about my finds with the Deus. Somehow I think I'm on a really lucky streak or I'm becoming one with this detector. I believe I have done better with the Deus in the short couple months I've owned it than all my other detectors combined. In addition I'm hunting areas previously covered by me.
So yesterday I decided to hunt an old park in the city that I overlooked for too long. The overhead aerials showed that it had 2 baseball fields in the 50's and earlier survey maps showed a row of houses along the street that are long since gone. I got to the park early and started swinging the Deus using my deep coin program. The trash was overwhelming and I had to dial up the iron silence and the reactivity to cut down the noise.
I randomly walked the areas of the baseball fields and got what I can only call an assault of noise that would have driven Manuel Noriega out of hiding. About half of the trash is the size of a pop can and bigger giving good high conductor signals. Even though I only dug good signals I had a pouch full of trash.
I was about 45 minutes into the hunt when I got a quarter signal and it sounded deep. At about 8-9 inches a 33.5 gram sterling silver ID bracelet revealed itself. You can see the broken clasp ring still attached. Other than that I just got some clad. I think I will go back but its going to be difficult and slow going.
