Well I started out at a field I found old coins in and got asked to leave by the lawn mowing man...he said this place has been all filled so I will not find anything..lol..little does he know I have found some cool old coins...one being a 1957 Ben Fraklin...and a 1887 half dime Canadian...its tiny!..plus others but I forget the rest...was 4 yrs ago...any who..I hit the old park and was full of bugs but I could care less...I tried diff. place and scored a stinking 1920 Wheat...and a CORBIN lOCK...another tough day here in NH...

I feel your pain MM. I was too tired to hunt low tide this morning and low tide this afternoon there was about 6,000 people on the beach arrgh! So I drove up to the fairgrounds and took a 1 hour walk across the grass, holy cow there's some rusty nails there, like 5 per swing. The Sunray 12 was not the coil to use but I managed brass wing nut and one wheat.

Those Locks can be worth a few bucks to a collector so I wouldn't call it a total loss for finds today. And at least you saved another Wheatie from Ground Corrosion. Good Luck and HH.

I'd sure like to find an old lock like that. Nice find. I've been asked to leave places that were producing before. Best time to rehit that place would be very early on a Sunday moring :detecting:
