Last week I posted about an old swimming hole from the 40's that we went back to since being there in the spring. Black Friday Hunt
We went back today and fairly quickly I found two wheats a 1929 and a 1941. I was really on a quest for some more silver being that I found 3 last week. Unfortunately I didn't find any silver coins but I did find a pretty heavy bracelet stamped 925 & Mexico.
It appears to be all 925 except for the male spring end that goes into the female part of the clasp. Even that is topped with sliver. When I found it, it was in two pieces with the clasp and first link separated from the rest of the bracelet but the sliver ring that ties the links together was still there but bent open a fair amount which must have been why the bracelet was lost. I think originally the claps were together but when I pulled it out of the hole it came apart. I'm not sure how it all could have been in the same place if that was not the case. I was just glad that the whole bracelet was there. There was a small safety chain on the far links of each end which is not silver. That's probably another reason when it fell off the person, all of the pieces were in one place. I re-crimped the first link back on and it's good as new.
I also found an old button with an anchor on it. Someone said they think it's a military button but I'm not too sure about that. It will be interesting to see if I can find one somewhere online or if anyone has any ideas, I would greatly appreciate any information.
