old wheat and silver

I hit an older house site today and had a pretty tough day, surprisingly. I expected the 1921 house to yield more, but did manage 5 wheats and a `35 merc. Also, am posting a pic of a 1912 d wheat that came from an old school site last Tuesday in a hunt with kuletule. I hope the green color comes through. HH

Nice finds-that is one green wheatie. From the picture it looks more like a 1912 S than a 1912 D. A 1912 S is a better semi-key coin. HH

1912-S is worth around $22 in G-4 condition....1912-D...$7.00

Still looking for my first Merc.. Looks like a great week for you.

Well Bayrat, I would think that dirt down there ought to be perfect and with all the navy stuff down there from WW2. mercs ought to be plentiful. How about Gregory? My late father in law was a Baptist minister there and there are some OLD houses. Give all old home sites a real chance, That is where i find nearly everything good I find. HH
