Oldest Coin so far - 1773!

Along with a Barber Dime (1912), a V Nickle (No Date), a War Nickle (1943) and several old wheat pennies, I found this old fella about 8 inches deep - dated 1773 - slightly larger than a quarter. It is a bit worn and has a bronze colored tint along the edges. I cleaned it with soap, water and a tooth brush. My camera's macro doesn't take a very good photo, so I included a few shots. Any background info would be helpful.

The copper Halfpenny was authorized in 1773 by the Crown as coinage for Virginia. Although the denomination was a halfpenny there were a proof "Penny" and a silver shilling minted and they command high premiums. The silver shilling is believed to have been a pattern.

1773 Halfpenny, Period After GEORGIVS VG - $50
1773, No Period After GEORGIVS VG - $75
1773 "PENNY" PR - $20,000
1774 "Shilling" (6 known) PR - $130,000

Beats my 1922 nickel to death. Awesome coin!!

There were no people where I live that long ago, except north American natives who traded but didn't use coins.
