Oldies still showing up...

Got a few hours in today and hunted a cut a mile or so from where I got the Bust Dime last storm. Didn't expect to find more oldies, but amongst the ship's brass and lead came these two beauties. Barber Dime and Large Cent (1829?) are shown in exact condition as found.
Beach silver usually is blackened slugs here in NJ but this barber looks like it was jsut dropped. Either it's been hiding down deep for 100 years, or it got nicely "tumbled" coming down the dredge piping during the beach sand replenishment project last year.....

Dan,
Those are great finds! Make sure your son puts them in a safe place. I went down on Saturday, but all I found were spikes and what look like Civil War era bullets. If we can just get a good storm, maybe some more old coins will turn up. This could turn out to be a very interesting and unusual winter.
