Anyone build their own skate boards....out of those old metal skates? (Not those store bought ones they have now)

Anyone invited to go skating and had a key for their skates?

Now think of this: Anyone old enough to remember the old TV sets and they required a 'converter box' to pick up local channels. Now zip forward to 2009 when TVs won't pick up High Definition broadcasts unless they have 'converters'.

Why am I posting this? Beats me but if it brought back memories....you're old hahahahahaha (and so am I)

the others were just stories of my dads. like when he was growing up in frisko and they had these homemade boards and they would race dwon the streets. have to grab a stop sign or pole and watch thier boards go flying out into the ocean somewhere. if any one has ever been to san fran here in cali....the roads are crazy steep..i wouldnt do that on a modern bike with the best brakes in the world. let alone a homemade metal wheeled board.

I was around before TV and remember when radio signals faded in and out while listening to The Lone Ranger,Sky King,Fibber Magee(sp)and Mollie,etc.Ya, brings back memories.

Yeh, and how about Amos and Andy and all the soap opera's like My Gal Sunday and etc? Our first TV was and is a black and white on a walnut wood swivel base! I still have it and it works I think, as I haven't tried it in ages! Tami used to play Atari on it and I played and had PacMan pretty well conquered....would have gone over a 100,000 but the telephone ring!

kids have no clue if we said call Pleasant 4539 that the PL in Pleasant was a phone exchange.

Hoe about those black only desk phones. Or later those wall phones that you could only go as far as the cord would let ya. Memories.

Yelp, Pete, I still have wall phones....one in the kitchen and one downstairs! We had a color phone when we first got a phone back in the 60's and it was on a party line! The woman and her three teenagers were always on it and would throw rocks at our house if we were using it, so we got our own line! I still have dial phones, too! Just have one push button type and it's in the Family Room! Dem was the good ole days!
