omega 8000 battery life

I am checking out the Teknetics brand of metal detectors. I came across the Omega 8000 and was wondering about the Battery life of the one Nine volt in it .

I get 30-40 hours (alkaline) using headphones. No joke.

I`m on my first battery 18 hours of hunting with headphones, and the meter is reading 3 lines,so i think detectingMO is right .
