Omega 8000 & the 8" Concentric coil

Anyone using this coil on the Omega? Only ever hear about 11" Bi-axial and 5" DD.
Thinking about it for general coinshooting.

Drew.

stock 10" elliptical concentric coil for general hunting, and the round 5" DD for working trashier sites.

The 11" DD coils is fine for a little added coverage or a little better depth, at times, but i get the best all-around performance with the elliptical concentric coil.

The round 8" concentric coil works okay. The one benefit I see it providing is a little better pinpointing ability for some folks who haven't got the hang of it with the 11" DD or elliptical 10" concentric. However, on the Omega, and when compared with the stock 10" elliptical coil, I find the 8" to be a little slower to work in trashier areas as the elliptical 10" picks good targets out of trashy sites better.

I know some folks who love the 8" concentric on their Delta or Gamma and have tried the 10" elliptical (actually 9

Thanks for the info Monte,

I got the unit in trade with the stock 10", and the 11" coils but I prefer smaller coils for coinshooting in general.
I guess if I add a small coil it will be the 5" for better separation.

I have been using the stock 8 inch coil that came with the delta on my omega for the past 2 days
Working a very trashy site or should i say a very iron relic loaded site, I have pulled some pretty cool stuff out, hinges and locks
8 inch coil seems to be working fine ( definitely a easier pinpointing coil than the 11 inch dd

next i will be putting the 10 inch elliptical on and hunting the same site

I know there's a Morgan dollar laying out there somewhere
