Omega 8500 iron volume?

So does the 8500 have a iron volume like the G2+? It’s nice not discriminating out iron but turning the iron tone down on the G2+..

You can set discrim to “0” and hear iron - you can then set a volume offset (minus, making the volume lower) for the iron segment. You can only do this is Discrim, not all metal.

See Notch Volume in the manual

Thanks for the link Rick. I actually came across this video and Craig explained it pretty well. https://youtu.be/EOb5mgUSZfI

But can the volume of iron targets be completely muted like the F19/G2+ (at volume setting 10) ? Looking at the manual for the 8500, it seems to lower the volume up to a certain extent but without completely muting the iron category.

It does not have a FeTone like the F19 or G2+. Master volume is from 0 to 10.

You can still silent categories however. It will be notch volume to set it as silent.

Notch volume is set from 0 to -9 and works off of the master volume.

So if you want silent iron...you would need to match your iron notch volume to the master volume.

Master = 9
Notch = -9

Master = 6
Notch = -6

If master volume is set to max 10... you cannot silence since notch only goes to -9. You would need to lower master to 9.

Thanks Hunter GT.
