Omega 8500 Testor Feedback

Anyone other than Tom or Keith testing the 8500 yet? I'm hoping for some glowing reports, but can't say that what I've read about it so far is all that exciting. Are those of us who are enjoying our V5 or V6 Omega 8000's chasing a pipe dream if we're thinking that the 8500 is going to be a real game-changer?

Still getting acquainted with mine. So far impressed with how it does about as well with nickles as with higher conductors. Also that the 10" coil can "tickle" an iron grunt out of the otherwise very troublesome rusty flattened old bottle caps.

Depth in discriminate is good and in all metal very impressive.

Probably best understood as a progressive development of the 8000, rather than a completely new model.
