Omega DD coil question

Im going to order the 11" DD coil to turn my kitten into a lion this weekend. Ive never used a DD coil with any detector and was curious as what to expect. Mainly pinpointing, will it pinpoint to the center or from front to rear. Not sure if that made sense but just let me know what you guys think, just looking for some insight. I can't wait, ive found some goodies thus far, but ready to go to the next level. Thanks in advance, Nick

The functional portion of the Electromagnetic Field will be the "hottest" or most responsive about the center of the coil's axis. This will be more easily heard if the target-to-coil distance in not too close, such as a coin at 5" or more. Still, pinpointing with a larger-size D-D coil can be made easier if you will cross the target from about 90

its pretty simple the DD coil has a black circle on top of the coil this is your pin point center, pinpoint then move 90* pinpoint again then retrieve your target. HH

Kinda what I was expecting guys, thanks a lot for the responses. I can't wait to get it, while the concentric coil has done me very well, Im ready to unleash the beast!

How deep are you getting with the 11" DD coil? I am debating purchasing the Omega with the bigger DD coil for better depth, and would like to hear your input. You and others have really peaked my interest with the 8000!

on silver I get 9" on a dime 10" on a quarter with the sense turned all the way to the last blue block (gain). if you are a coin shooter tot lot or old deep coins this is the detector for you with the DD coil. if you are going to purchase a Omega give bill a shout at the top of the page he is a sponsor and you will be glad you did.
