Omega finds with the 10" concentric coil

acasto

New member
Hit the new spot yesterday for about an hour. It's a roughly half acre lot just a few hundred yards from the main square in my town that was founded in 1859.
Here is what I found. The roll of coins turned out to be 35 quarters dating from 1965 to 1995. Alas, no silver. Could not believe my eyes when I turned over the dirt and saw the quarters. The property owner walked up at that same time and was not interested in them. She also gave me the gate code to her home property with almost 500 acres and one house built in 1938. Her dad detected in his waning years and she said it brought back memories of her Dad's finds.

Nice finds acasto! I'll bet your heart was pumping pretty hard when you first saw those quarters laying there!

Sounds like you have some good huntin in front of you. Hopefully you can keep sending us updates as you go.

Heart pumping to say the least. I was squatting in the way of the sunshine and literally fell backwards on my butt. Grabbed my phone for the proof. As the lady was walking away, I picked up a few and looked at the dates. Saw 60's and my heart really raced. Held them in my hand all the way home.
I am actually 5 coins short of a full roll, so will hit the area again tomorrow.

Fedex delivered my new 10" DD coil today. Mounted it on the Omega. Dang thats a long wire.

HH and good luck!
Tony
