Omega Ground Balance in Discrim mode

all iron

Member
I have done this and seen this done on a few videos.
Hows does this effect performance.
Manual says to do it in auto tune.

I usually do it in discrim and it seems to work okay. I have gone back to doing it in AT the last couple days and it seems to be no different as far as I can tell.

Try doing it in all metal and again in disc mode and see if there's any difference in where the GB #'s settle.

There will be no difference in where the GB# ends up, been through this last year.
It's not even that critical for the most of us hunting coins, more so for the small gold hunter who is in AT mode.

Nice to know, Rick. I was so excited when my Omega revived this morning I found my first penny (near surface 1975) that I realized I had not GBd. I wasn't sure if I needed to put it back!
I found 2 more, 1980 and a nice 1953 (ah, sweet wheat!) in my daughter's back yard where I'd looked at least 6 times before! Go figure!
