Omega so far so good...

digsgti

TROLL
Just got an omega and so far so good. Pulled 16 wheats and 2 mercs out of my brothers lawn. GB around 55, 16 disc... Sensitivity makes display go crazy around 60 setting so I just cranked it up and wasnt bothered by it as long as the coil is swinging. Had a tough time pinpointing with 11 inch dd coil with everything in the ground so went with 10 inch concentric . None of the coins where more than 4-1/2 5 inches. First merc was about 2-3 inches while the second was 4-1/2 with a wheat right with it.

Congratulations on your finds the first time out with your new Omega digsgti, you will love that new Omega. Its sure made a believer out of me.i have enjoyed mine so much this past spring, summer and fall that i just bought a gamma 6000 as a back up detector for it..Keep us posted with all the fun you have with your new Omega...Markmac

Very nice first outing with the Omega. No doubt there will be many more as the Omega loves coins. The DD coils take a little getting used to if one has never used one before. Throw a couple of coins down on the grass and cover them with a piece of cardboard and practice pin pointing. It won't take long and you will have them zeroed right in. Good luck and HH jim tn

Congrats with your Omega first finds.

Try and change FREQ when it happens. For me it's the solution most of the times to use maximum SENS without the MD going crazy on screen and sounds..

Let me know what you found out..

I think the sensitivity problem is from powerlines out front of the house. Plus wifi in the area might be causing problems. Changing freq didnt help but thats a good tip for me to remember. Thanks
