The Omega has a "smoothness" to it...hard to put into words, but to be a digital machine, it feels pretty dog-goned "analogish". (in a very good way!) I've not used a T2 for comparison, but do have a F75. With stock coils, (10" elliptical concentric on the Omega and 11" DD on the F75) the F75 wins the depth competition...but the Omega has a coil size disadvantage. I have a gut feeling the Omega will scream when/if (rumors?) an 11" DD coil is available for it as well.
Omega depth in my central North Carolina soil is very, very good. The iron discrimination is outstanding, and the audio talks to ya...very descriptive.
I saw another post talking about how it compares to the F5...it's similar, but different! If you're a "tweaker", you may prefer the F5. If you prefer simplicity, you'll probably like the Omega better. I'm a big fan of the F5, but find a lot to love with the Omega as well. Like Buckeye said, I like the ergonomic package of the Omega...probably one of the easiest "swing-all-day" machines ever.
