On a hunch....

The local Moose club has a small tot lot and RV area in back of it. I decided to try the tot lot to see if there were any coins. Gee! Was I in for a surprise. Over the past week, I have dug over 300 coins in an area no bigger and perhaps smaller than 25'by 25'. Most were pennies and dimes and they were deep, over 8 inches and most at 12 inches. The club, years ago, must have had an Easter Egg hunt and members must have salted the small area with coins for the kiddies. Later, they added sand on top of the sand that was there and over the years, they worked their way down to between 8 to 12 inches deep. It was a lot of digging (did not want to use a sand scoop as it would have made a mess) but well worth the hunch.....jim

My goodness, that was a lot of digging. Congrats and have fun! HH, Nancy
