On a positive note....

Pete in MI

New member
I just completed an interview with the Houghton Lake Resorter..the newspaper for this town. I will be featured as a new business in the area - probably in next week's paper.

I am putting the word out that I am conducting a business in "the recovery of lost metal valuables for individuals and insurance companies, and in cleaning up private beach and waterfront swimming areas for a fee". Someone has to buy batteries and gas right guys?

Doing it for free (cleaning the beach and waterfronts) was fun the first time, not fun the second - especially since I got Swimmer's Itch.

Mike and Greg from MI will be proud of me (wore my Iron Brigade shirt) in the photos. (Thanks for letting me be a member of the Brigade guys).

BTW Houghton Lake Resorter is on line in case you don't have enough news to read  you can read about the goings on up here.

Just hope I get the water detector fixed soon. Guess it is good I have a week or two to work with.

I hope you get mucho contacts. It seems like almost everyone I talk to says "you know, I lost a gold ring there one time". steve in so az

Do you have a link for the paper? When will they run your story?

Was told it would probably not make it in this Thurs electronic paper but will be in the following week.

BTW Thursday should have a picture of Ken, Paul and myself (all captains of our area Neighborhood Watch program) putting up a Neighborhood Watch sign. That will be in this issue coming out this week.
