It seems that the portal to the silver dimension has opened slightly for me. Either that or I am learning what deeper silver sounds and looks like on my ACE250.
Either way, I just picked up a 1944 Merc (again, in great shape..) during a 1hr hunt at an abandoned Drive In Theater that will soon be demolished to make room for housing. My 12 yr old son gave me a high five so hard my hand stung for an hour!
Here's the '44 Merc and a pic of the silver I have found since January, when I first began my adventures in MDing.
1920 Merc
1941 Merc
1944 Merc
1948 Washington
1943P War Nickle (40% silver counts....right?)

the silver is great! the time with your son is even better!!! steve

Well? Arnt you gonna tell us what kind of a signal you get with those deep ones? I think with all this rain we're getting on the west coast I'll need to know just to find the clad that was dropped last year!

Yeah war nickels count. You're doing great bud. If I found that much silver out here I'd have a heart attack. Sometimes I feel like getting into my silver collection and salting a park or two, then hunting them so I can remember what it's like.

Yeah that Yeller Feller loves the smell of silver. By the way, I think silver is now over $11.00 per ounce, making your coins worth about eight times face value.
