? on explorer II please read post

Maybe you should try addeing weight to the end of the Battery Compartment. This may help you "counter-balance" the machine for you.

I have tried adding weight to the rear of the machine all it does is make the machine feel heavier. All i am saying is that to make the explorer feel lighter and better balanced is simply reduce the weight of the coil . More counter balance to the rear does nothing unless the coil is lighter. What i am trying to say is that generally speaking the explorer would feel better balanced by a combination of a lighter coil and a sort of square battery pack like whats on the xlt, this battery pack positioned right at the back of the explorer would help to pull down on the back of the machine thus helping to lift the coil. Some garrets have this.

As we all know the explorer does not like air between the coil and ground. I usually place the coil on the ground and slowly drag the coil across the ground allowing the ground to support most of the weight. Works for me.

Well, it's kinda new and unproven, since just a few people are reporting their experiences with it, but the new Teknetics T2 is very lightweight and one guy who has both seems to compare it well to the Explorer II.

I just got a T2 and in air tests it's deeper than my Gold Bug 1 but I have barely had it outdoors, as it snowed the day it arrived.
