On The Beach. August 2019

Had the X on a beach in Delaware for 6 hunts. This beach town is visited by thousands of sun worshippers every day during the summer season. This was my 6th year of hunting for a week. After ground balancing, the X hunted quiet with the gain & threshold nearly maxed out. This beach is kept very clean to start with. I had my first discrimination knob at around 30 , second alternative at just below 35. Wanted to make sure I was detecting nickels and up. Didn't dig not one bobby pin, which I have with a Pulse Induction in the past. Amazing only about a dozen tabs. But the fresh bottle caps, had to live with. Older buried caps I could begin to tell. It is amazing how much these crowds don't shed. Their wearing tattoos instead of Jewelry, and clutching cell phones. There is always competition, but wasn't that bad this year. I was able to hunt from the board walk to past the high tide mark. The wetter the sand, had to make some adjustments. Found by turning the iron volume off on the wet sand really helped. The X is very sensitive, and I was finding targets were falling threw my scoop. (Pretty small) Down to rivet head size. So after many targets ,I was getting to guess the target by sound to a degree. Much more so than my Mojave. Depth, guys you'll be able to tell when its time to get that hole deeper. Of course the Quarters were the deepest, nickels next and a couple of deep targets turned out to be bottle caps. Ended up with a Silver bracelet, a stainless steel ring, a very nice gold ( maybe ) bracelet with no markings. So it's doubtful. Some small charms and a 144 coins for the week. My best in six years.

Sounds like you had some fun and getting the hang of the audio.
The X is pretty good snagging those tiny targets. Found some of those tiny sneaker shoe lace eye rivets myself.

Nice report there
