On The Beach....

Following a bout of dry weather, the ground being hard and dry, I turned to the beach for some fun with my Omega 8000......On dry sand, brilliant !!!!! quiet operation with loads of finds...... I had a lot of difficulty on the more compact wet sand....could not make it behave !!! (but did get some coins) Very noisy, probably my lack of experience with this new machine........ ( I found it best in all metal mode, sensitivity down slightly) Baden

Could you get it to ground balance on the wet sand?

Yep thats normal for wet sand.
You have to turn the sensitivity right down to have any chance on wet sand, then you have no depth. !!
