Bart & Rachel.....I found your ring! Huge ring (size 15), quarter passes right through it. Was wanting Plat when I saw it in the scoop...No way! No weight!! Titanium I believe, no mark.
I've found pairs of earrings before, but this morning I scored 2 pairs (one at a time) with one being a 925 set. Also scooped up the square bling 925 earring.
Anklet chain is marked 14k and weighs .9g.....still looking for that weighty chunk of gold to appear in the scoop one day! GL ALL
 
Very nice snag on that ankle chain! That had to been a crappy foil signal? And a pair of earrings doubled up! yep, thats rare! :clapping:
I hate those cheap non PM rings!:rant: Makes a guys heart jump too much when you first see them in the scoop..the signal is correct for gold or plat, you were hunting the right area and got the right target, thats what makes it so frustrating! Good work all around there Bob! The next one will be a big Gold or Plat!:please:

Congrats on the ring and other finds. I saw you on ABC Action News, great story. Hope you like the Excal you were using, it's a good one. Wish you the best of luck at the beach.:clapping:

Yeah...didn't see that one coming, just proves the power and reach of social media. Being it was a Titanium ring and kinda unique with the writing on the outside, a suggestion was made to post it on the local beach FB page. It was posted Tuesday night and by the next day it was shared 5,000 times and the local news contacted me.....by Thursday after the news got hold of it, the post had over 20,000 shares and the owner of the ring was found in Indiana. They were not looking for the ring because it was lost 3 years ago. That's the most informative info to take from this entire post....found 3 years later in well hunted waters!!!
BTW....The news reporter, Ashley Glass, WOW!!! what a pleasure it was to meet her. GL ALL

Bob, I didn't know it was you on the news report, funny thing is, I only know you from seeing you in neck deep water with a hat on......
Good info on that ring being lost three years ago.....and you are right about it being a well hunted area!
