One door closes and another one opens

Bermuda immigration gave us the word that we have only a couple of months left on this island as they wish to export their unemployment problem by giving jobs occupied by expats to locals. I can't say I blame them as they are trying to take care of their own first but it means that we will be leaving our island home of the past 6 years. It sure was fun while it lasted but as they say one door closes and another one opens.
My wife and I have decided that instead of returning to Canada (cold, snow, YUCK!), we will take a RTW (round the world) trip for the next year or so. Prices are down, our savings are up and we have the time - Perfect. Guaranteed that I will have my detector along for the journey so I can hunt all those exotic beaches.
