Bermuda immigration gave us the word that we have only a couple of months left on this island as they wish to export their unemployment problem by giving jobs occupied by expats to locals. I can't say I blame them as they are trying to take care of their own first but it means that we will be leaving our island home of the past 6 years. It sure was fun while it lasted but as they say one door closes and another one opens.
My wife and I have decided that instead of returning to Canada (cold, snow, YUCK!), we will take a RTW (round the world) trip for the next year or so. Prices are down, our savings are up and we have the time - Perfect. Guaranteed that I will have my detector along for the journey so I can hunt all those exotic beaches.

Cheers,

Eric

Hey BDA,

Sounds like a plan Friend!!

Good luck and keep in touch!

If it was up to me I would be doing the same thing!!

pick that one also. IF you wait until your retired, the body doesn't always go along with the planned program. Best of luck with your RTW trip and do keep us posted. Always enjoy your post and pictures.

sorry to hear you have to leave it. Must have made some great friends after 6 years. The trip sounds
like a lot of fun.
