One final post on my Tracker IV...

I know these coins were only 1-3", but SOMEBODY'S been missing them cause they're covered in a heavy patina. My tip-once more. The Tracker is Sweep Speed Sensitive (SSS Blackbird-lol). A leisurely, calm sweep speed makes coins appear as if by magic. The dimes were a quick "peep", but really sounded off when I slowed the sweep speed down to double check them. The tiny charm pieces with stones in them and the nickels were easier to discern at a "relaxed" sweep speed. This is East Texas soil with flake iron contents in a lot of places. The tot lots with bark chips react better at faster sweeps. I'm getting to love this machine more and more. The hot weather makes me go "cruisin" for coins and the tone id really helps.. The large washer gave a high tone as did another large iron target-but they were unusual encounters.
