while on my rte yesterday i had a chance to search a beach in upper mich . Water was about a foot deep out to about 20ft and then dropped off out of sight.....a state worker came over to talkwith me and said it drops to 114ft......alittle too deep for my snorkle. Anyways,i foundthis ring..I think its siver with some tye of wrap.Butim not sure.

I forget what it's called when they do that. It's similar to "cloisonne" jewelry, although without all the fancy wire work. They used to wrap them in tortoise shell, ivory and other exotic, natural materials, too. Such things would not hold up under water, though, so my money is on glass. It may also be a polyresin of some kind, if it more modern.
Is there a marking of any kind inside?
