one lonely dime for my efforts

I hunted a farm field yesterday got nothing but shotgun shells and fired lead. Hunted an empty lot today where a house used to sit, it was mega trashy, and I was getting upset I was digging so much trash that came in as good coin signals and the ground is hard as brown cement. One clad dime and one penny.......I was unhappy. On the way back to my car I got a deep dime signal it was a beat up worn out 1920 mercury dime, whew, saved the day

That is better than going home empty. I had two days last week where I was trying places and got zero silver. I never get discouraged when I dig clads and junk. I figure that is one that I will not have to dig again.

I have a buddy who would hunt with me sometimes all day at pounded parks and we would go all day with out a silver or sometimes nothing, but on the way back to the car 9 out of 10 times he would hit silver and save the day, so congratulations on that merc :clapping:

Congratulations on the silver dime Terry! Thanks for the picture!!

It's amazing how one little piece of silver can save your day.....it sure has for me too....many times.

I'm going back to the high trash, granite hard ground park tomorrow for another go....I'm going to keep my expectations really low this time, and will be happy with any old coinage/relics.

Congrats on your saving-day Merc!!

I have a few sites where finding just one silver dime would make for a great hunt. I enjoy the challenge. Nice job!

Nice save! As long as you're recovering shot gun shells, maybe the info for dating them from this site would be useful:

(hey, it passes the time!).
