This is an old school which I am sure use to be a high school but is an elemenatry school but is getting boarded up. It still has a playground which is still being used and a ball field...etc.....its not very big but nice size not to get overwhelmed by it. 12.5 coil on first......went to one side first......it was very noisy and not good, so put the 7.5 on and walked around just scanning.....then ended up on the opposite side and got scratchy penny sound....dug a deep wheat...say 6 inches...then a few more between 6-8"...they had a low tone and a higher tone and hard to id ....so then got a quiet silver sound and dug 1920 merc. so I put 12.5 back on cause it was going to take the bigger coil to hear the coins better...24 sens is all I could take....any higher and it sounded better but everything else was wacky......so I settled for the middle everything is stable enough and can determine to dig or not. I also found a button with a emblem on it and it is all over a college I worked at and no one can tell me what it is called....but it could be old and english?...whatever!!!!..anyone know??
it has letters at bottom but can only make out a few....it says something....
...the pennys are bad.....I got 4 to see dates on and the other 3 are real bd......1918,29,35,44.....I had only a few hours to hunt cause sun is going to bed alot earlier now......so just may hit it sat. morn baring snow....this place is an excellent training ground for newbies....they can hear good coins being bad here....just not sure if there will be any left after tommorrow.....
.....
Found the partial stage coach tag folded up, thought it was soda can stuff.....I wonder? maybe Paul Revere road in this stage coach?
