I went out to a park this morning, but the spot I intended to hunt was being used for a large party of some kind with bounce houses, clowns, balloons, etc. I moved to another spot which didn't have many signals, not even much trash, but I did hit this pendant which I believe to be sterling, although I couldn't find any mark. It sounded more like a copper cent, maybe because of the odd shape. It's about the thickness of a silver dime, and was this shiny when it came from the hole. It was deep, about 7 inches. Looks to be from the Art Nouveau period, probably from the original period , not repro. (?). I found some similar pieces on line, but they were modern reproductions of the same design. The modern ones were marked "925" on the reverse. Other finds were junk and one memorial cent. I'll go back to the other spot in a day or two, they really cut the grass short there for the party.
