ONE PURTY PENNY!!!!!!............

I found this 100 year old penny almost two weeks ago. I am amazed at the detail. Using two different grading books, the detail looks to be an AU-50 (about uncirculated) Not a valuable find, but about as nice as you will ever see a coin that old come from the ground! Other than the patina, this coin was dropped right after it came from the mint! The pics are not as good as the real thing! :)

Well they surely dont get any better than that out of the ground. Isn't Liberty in the headband the first to go ? And it's all there. WTG, Steve in so az

If I had dug that, there would be one big nasty scratch along one side of it though!!!!

We will have none of that now!:nono:
But I have done it too!

the ribbon, bow, and tops of the leaves on the back are first to go, and the front the tips of the feathers. But those areas are also all there and nice on this coin! :)
