One Way Wheat

TURNMASTER

Active member
One Thin Dime and several wheats, a razor blade and some marbles. There was eventually a Memorial in the hole with the razor blade and pull tab.

The Barber is the oldest coin I have found on this property and the wheat is one of 8 or 10 1919 coins from here, unusual for me.

One of the Wheaties hit from one direction only. it was only about 2 inches deep, just under what one might call sod. It was one of the newer wheaties but crusty enough.

I am finding that crusty copper pennies give troublesome ID and location, anybody else (Explorer) get that same thing. This one should have been clearer. I re-swept and the ground was not a total null.

great finds! Thanks for sharing! You are not alone on this one. I am with you on crusty copper pennies. I have experienced the same thing with Sovereign GT. On top of it, the coins aren't even that deep and they break up and ID / sound like a bottle cap. Location lol that is another story - these little crustys give me the most trouble in precisely locating them.

I like the marbles and your thin old dime is silver so good going! I think it depends on what is in the ground in and around a hole containing some coins and how good of condition they are! So many things can affect the beeping and pinpointing of different kinds of metal! Even the weather affects because if it is too wet the sound goes all over the top of the ground and when too dry it is harder to penetrate in the depth of finding them! Many things don't come easy and coins and relics sure can be the same way! May God Bless and keep on, keepin' faith in Jesus! Amen! Ma Betty
