New permission & 4 hours later. I had found 17 wheats, the oldest 1923 & 1918 Merc. The house was only built in the 50's and there was very little trash, so digging every signal was easy. Even had a neighbor stop by and said I welcome to stop by and detect his yard as well. I'm still amazed some in our hobby still won't knock on a door! HH
 
Great job! I've never knocked on a door to hunt. I want to but something inside me is holding me back.
 
cool finds. I ask everyone I can find! alot of no answers but sometimes you get that one yes! who knows what that one yes will give up. cool finds!! btw my wife says quit asking everybody about metal detecting she just doesnt get it but I dont get going to belks and looking at every item in the store either .lol

I know the feeling, but sooner or later we're gonna have to! Especially after seeing stories like this all the time LOL

I knock on doors all the time, I will not go digging without permission. Only been told NO once! . . . So far. Just have first tell them, Would like to go metal detecting, but it's no big deal if not, and be friendly!!!
