First beep of the day. A nice ladies watch. Found it on the beach under the sand while walking to the water. Still running and with genuine diamond quartz! :) Not an expensive one, but the first one I have found running, after finding dozens over the years! Met up with malaquin this morning for a short water hunt then on to a park to look for a class ring that was lost many years ago. Didn't find it yet. Brian and I had fun though! :)

I also had alot of fun today hunting with Mike. I hit an extra park after he left and found a sterling silver ring. Apparently my dinner invitation got lost in the mail, as I missed out on what appears to be some tasty looking ribs. Still working out the digital camera routine, but watch out pictures are on the horizon.

...my supper was a bologna sandwich and my mouth is watering looking at those ribs!!!

That's a nice looking watch!! You been pulling up some really nice rings from the bottom of that lake too!!

As you can see I found the watch! :) Your invite was here! :)

Ya, didn't invite Ma and Cliff to join you, me son, for some of those good ribs and I can almost smell them cooking with the Barbeque Sauce! YUM! YUM! Glad you and Malaquin got to hunt together and you both found something nice! The watch is very pretty and who gets it, the wifey or mommy??? Just kidding you, Mike, I like to think I can do so without making you   :)

God Bless!

that BBQ sure looks good.

You, make me mad? Not sure you can do that! :)
Oh and your invite was on my post! :)

One of my favs! Oh, and the watch is pretty nice, but, Mmmmm....Ribs!

Hey, you know, we talked about what there was to see out west? Here are a couple of shots from the trip through Nebraska...

Take care, and keep up with the great hunts!

Love to see many more pics of the trip! :)

Sorry, me son, but these old eyes didn't see your written invitation which must have been in disappearing ink or I'm going blind! :) Maybe someday before we go to our heavenly home we can get together and enjoy some of those delicious B-BQ grilled ribs but you'll have to do the cooking! My mouth is watering right now!

God Bless!

Here are a couple more photos from our trip. The first one is one that Holly took. She and Linds went up the garbage-can ride to the top of the Arch. This was taken before that short jaunt.

Here is a sign marker for the Oregon Trail. It was at Independence Rock. It is hard to see in the photo, but there is a slight depression where the wagon trail went. Not as obvious as some places in Nebraska, but still visible nonetheless. Notice the lovely day? I stood out in the rain, in a womens windbreaker('cause I didnt bring one on the trip) to get this shot!:)

Here is the same photo with my scribble showing the path of the trail.

Here is "the Rock". One interesting note...There is a paved road that runs kind of parallel to the rock. At the North end, where the names are still scratched into the rock, the road comes within about 15 to 20 feet of the monolith. They must of thought better than to have traffic so close to a national landmark, so they moved the highway about 300 yards away.

ps. I forgot to bring my camera to our meeting, so no photos of that from my perspective

I went up in the arch when I was in high school! It was cool! Thanks for sharing! :)

Well, Mike, you are one up on me as I've never been up in the Arch and I've been living in the St. Louis, MO, areas since 1953! So see, when within distance a person doesn't visit their own landmarks but instead travel to far distance places to see those! I've been to the Arch but haven't ridden in it to the top! One year at the 1976 St. Louis 4th of July fair, I practically sit under it to see the fireworks!

God Bless!
