Hi Everyone,
I appreciate your answers to my questions. I just have a couple more. I'm not that great with electronics so please bare with me. I am interested in building the PI-1 option 1. On the parts layout there is a block under R41 and between Q6 & Q7, what is it and its value. Also I could not find any reference to C11 that IS on the parts layout and NOT on the parts list. Help!!!
Regards,
Dennis

Hello
C11 seems to be a 15 pf as you can see on the drawing.
About the block under R41, you can see two point on the drawing but i don't see for what ???
I'm waitiing for the end of the texte from CARL: perhaps he will explain this.

Hi Dennis
A hint for you. Post your (next) question(s) regarding the PI-1 in the Geotech Forum. Because there are the people who built the project and you can ask Carl direct.
Chris

Hi,
This is where Carl hangs out as well and actually learned from Eric to be able to design the PI-1. You can see from this post that Eric very generously offered up several points that make a huge difference in the design before Carl finalized it. I guess we all owe Eric when it comes to PI designs though.

C11 can be omitted, it is for experimentation with bandwidth. If you have an "Option 1" schematic that shows C11, then it is very old. I recommend you get the newest version.
I guess the block under R41 is the one labeled J1? That's the audio jack.
