I opened mine..... but no longer have it but was simple. I opened mine to play with the two adjustments inside.

Take the battery out and there are two screws in the compartment. All you have to do is remove those two screws and you have access to the plug.
Dave be careful with the screws they can be stripped out easy taking apart or putting back together. Just snug when you tighten. Good Luck Ron
