Opinions on the 11" Coil

buggy

New member
HI there,
I am a new owner of a Deus and am operating with the 9" Coil.
I have read the reviews on the 11" but would really like to have any "non-professional" personal views from real life users.
Should I be scrimping and saving to buy an 11" Coil or are they just good, but not worth spending my savings on?
All views will be appreciated.
Thanks Buggy.

I've owned both the 9" & 11". Both are great coils and as expected the 11" has a slight depth and ground coverage advantage while the 9" has the advantage in trash. It would be hard for me to choose one over the other as they are both great coils. The 9" has great depth and the 11" has great separation. I owned both and used the 9" most of the time.

SW, I believe those are backwards.

keep your nine, minimum depth difference, just less coverage...

wait for the new elip in '16 --- then you will get new coil, as well as multi-freq. benefit

No, what I'm saying is the 9" has great depth and the 11" has great separation. By that I'm trying to say the 9" has the depth, so not much difference in getting the 11", and the 11" has great separation, so not that much gained by using the 9". For this reason I use the 9" most of the time because it swings better than the 11", IMO, so I only use the 11" when I'm in the open and need to cover a lot of ground.

I just ordered an 11" thanks Heath at Treasure Mountain Detectors.
Have had the 9 for two seasons and ready for a bit more.

Sold it right away didn't
Care for it. Wait to see what the next coil will be
