Optional coils for my Eldorado,,, have ???s

Lateral Line

New member
Greetings all, My 15 year old Eldorado has preformed amazingly for me over all this time, I currently have the stock 9x8 Concentric and she does very well in parks for coins & jewelry, but I would like to branch out with maybe some different coils more suited for water/beach hunting and nugget prospecting.

From the lists of available coils on the Tesoro web page, I don't see the Eldorado name mentioned. It looks like the Cibola, Lobo SuperTRAQ, Tej

Any 5 pin (umax) coil will work on the Eldorado which is pretty much any NOT LISTED for the Cibola, Vaquero etc. The coils listed for the Cibola etc. are 4 pin coils and DO NOT work on the Eldo. You might consider either the 5.75 or the 7" for trashy areas and the 10/x12 for more coverage and a bit more depth. Different sized umax coils show up fairly often on flea bay and the accessories for sale forum here on Findmall.

Thanks for the info Bill. Are these 5 pin coils able to be submerged in water without harm?

I just read another post about the coils being water proof, thanks anyway.

Unless damaged, the coils are waterproof. Good idea to wrap the control box in plastic or something in case of an accident, however.
