Ordered a G2 from Big Boys any advice

Hdnsouth

New member
Got it ordered today should be here by Thursday gonna be working out of town most of March in North central Missouri farm country hope to hit some old places I won't have anything else to do in the evening most the guy's going with me are young and drinking until 2 or 3 in the morning doesn't appeal to me anymore so I'll be learning the G2 that is if it thaws out so any advice or tips would help. Anyone on here up around the Trenton area that might want to hook up and hunt let me know. Thanks

Congrats on the new G2! Bart is a nice guy to do business with. Good luck in Missouri!

My advice is use the G2 for areas heavily infested with iron. I use mine as a single purpose machine in heavy iron areas. It will dominate over any other machine in that setting, but won't be as deep in an open field aka clean area as some of the higher end Teknetics machines. I use my T2 SE for the clean areas and break out the G2 for the iron areas. I use discrim 35 and gain at max. Good luck.

most people that use the t-2 say that it is great in iron. i've used the minelab sovereign and explorer xs with pretty good success in iron but i haven't had much luck with the t-2.

Get out and find some easy dirt, gravel, sand or sandy loam to practice in, a local beach area worked for me...Beautiful tones on this machine and more than likely you can run it 100% wide open without a chirp! One nicely engineered unit!

Hunt a lot with your new detector. Its worth it !!!!
