Got a extra rod and small DD coil too. Should be here in about 5 days can't wait to try it in some of my relic spots.
Will give a update when I get a chance to try it out.

Both the detector and the coil are terrific, and I'm pleased to see you do what I do and mount the coils on spare lower rods. It sure makes swapping coils fast and gets me back into action quickly.

Post after you put in the time. I'm headed to the beach in about 4 hours and I'll be swapping out my 3rd 9V battery for a fresh one probably withing an hour or two. In short, just put in the time to really get a good feel for the G2. A very nice addition to the Teknetics (and Fisher) line-up.
