Thanks guys for all the help with your ETP comments.I ordered it today from Big Boys Hobbies. Cant wait to go to all the places I have hunted with the ace 250.I had to go with the standard coil for now but will try and get a larger coil later.UPS tracking says it will be here Monday.Any advice on good settings ect.are welcome.CANT WAIT!!!:jump:

Turn the sensitivity up as high as the site you are hunting allows, turn the discrimination to 40 I normally set the volume on 10. Great little detector.

Read so much good stuff about it I just had to try one, but will have to wait until the ground thaws. This will give me time to get to know it a bit and only played with it a little indoors, but it seems very impressive.
Reading about the volume control and trying to figure out what they are talking about when you turn it higher than 10 as I always run full volume with headphones on all my detectors with my bad hearing.

The 8" coil on the Eurotek Pro is my favorite. It actually works better than the 11" DD in my soil.

After volume setting 10 (Say volume 11) All non ferrous targets(ie aluminum, brass, silver, gold, nickel) will sound at volume 10 and all ferrous ie Iron will sound with a volume setting of 1.

Do an air test with the detector on 11 and swing a dime and a nail and you will see what I mean.

I would suggest running in zero disc
and 11 volume for a couple hunts to learn detectors language
sensitivity as high as ground and emi allow
