I talked to Tony at Kellyco and he is still offering free shipping on the coils to folks on this forum. I'm looking forward to giving it a good work out soon. I'll be reporting in soon with my results. Any tips would be appreciated.

I recieved my 10x12 SEF about 2 weeks ago and am very happy with it. it is lighter, more stable, less falseing and I can pinpoint better (faster) than the stock coil. but I have to keep in mind that the coin is just a little bit behind the crux or right under it. As for deep coins I am not sure yet as the deepest I have found with it is a wheaty about 7-8 inches down which was found pretty simplylike this... I dug down and it was what I thought it was. I also use an 14 inch exellorator coil on some ground and that baby get deep signals less falseing, stable and I can be pretty close on the mark without even pinpointing... just cross sweep. YOU WILL LIKE YOURS TOO. good luck.

Man you guys must be tough...I put the 10x12 on my se and wow it is way heavier that the pro?........off it came....It feels like lead on the end...maybe I will have to work out?
maybe I have been swinging the pro coil to long?......I got to say the sef looks hella cool!!!!!!!!!!!!

If I had never used the pro coil I may have liked the SEF more but after using the pro coil the sef was heavier less balanced and less stable.I may have tested a bad one as far as the noise and may have to order one and give it a better test.If it will truely outperform the pro coil I would live with the other two issues, Ray.

I have not used the pro coil so do not judge the SEF as being better by anything that I said however... the pro coil will come on the E trac one day when I buy it and then I will have both loops and my skills will be fantastic! In the mean time the SEF is better for me than my stock EX II coil and I very much like it in the right areas.

Ray, i bought mine not because it would outperform the Pro. My research told me it was as good, not as light and maybe not as sensitive to tiny items as the Pro. It was a coin flip for me, however the selling point was about a $50 savings. As far as weight, i have the X-1 on the SE as well and havent noticed the serious weight. Maybe its because i set it down a lot to dig... hey but i do put in some pretty long hunts. I do beleave its better balanced than the slimline with has offset the additional weight maybe. If i had the Pro already... im not sure i would spend that money just to have a SEF. I think i like the coil cover better on the SEF. I have noticed you DONT want to get a lot of dirt between the cover and the coil... it doesnt like it.

The pro gets dirt there to!.....I have both. I am only 49 years old tile contractor...so used to heavy things. It just seems to heavy...might be better...but with my use of the pro coil...it separates like a 6' coil....I am going to get the sef 6x8 for sure...it should be a killer coil! Being little it should not be to heavy. A lot of people love the sef 10x12.
I had mine on a se with a sunray probe...have the e-trac to....just have not used it yet...my buddy does great with his e-trac...his favorate # is 46!!!!!!!

I have tried the Pro Coil but only ran the sensitivity around 20 so maybe that's the reason for lack of depth. The balanced was nice and did make a difference after a four hour hunt. The Slimline 10 isn't that bad to swing better than the older black Minelab coil. But I like the performance of the old coil better.I did switch to a 1050 coil but haven't had a chance to get any field use because of the weather.I probably paid top dollar for the SEF 150.00 ON buy it now and 10 bucks for shipping. My strategy I would have the coil in a couple of days instead of a back order.By the way my favorite old park only the deeper targets left.Anyway looking forward to get this SEF coil in the field and see if it will recover deep targets I missed.

That"s a good price for that coil!...mine was 169.00...shipped.....but when a new toy is out you have to have it? who needs socks anyway!!!!!!
