Here are some pics of some of the 'junk' I found last week. I was wondering if anybody could identify the cone-shaped object. It has a number stamped on it and it looks like the tip has been broken off. Also the rock gave off a pretty good signal, not the typical hot rock. Anybody had those before?

Looks like you found your self a fuze from a mortar or artillery round. I don't thing you have anything to worry about but you may want to have someone take a look it for you.

How heavy is the rock? If it is really light then it is probably a residue of coal, sort of like the impurities of the coal. If it is heavy, try a magnet on it. If it's magnitized, it might just be a meteorite...

I'd say it is a medium weight. Not real heavy, not light either. But a magnet does stick to it! How do I know if it is a meteorite?
