Other Hobbies

chain saw carvings...some are bears but the best I have seen is up in a tree...a nest that has been carved and has an eagle in the nest with baby eagles in the nest too. Awesome things you guys can do. I couldn't even carve a neckerchief slide out of a block of wood with the image already on the wood without botching it up. That is a great hobby for those with the talent such as yourself. BTW welcome to our forum from me. (Don't know if you have posted before or not so want to personally welcome you in case I missed your first posts).

but I know you do.

Thanks very much for the compliments.

I misspoke about the location of Castle Air Museum. It is actually 10 miles north of Merced in Atwater Ca.. Here is a link.

It will be about 65 deg. here today ( 20 miles outside the west entrance to Yosemite National Park ) so I am going to do some prospecting. The Telegraph fire that burned this area in July and August of last year, has exposed alot of old mines and drainage in the hills across the road from me . Me and my new X-Terra 70 ( recieved it monday) are headed that way today. I used to swing a Fisher Gold Bug but after all I have read here I had to trade up to the XT 70. You folks have been a big help. The sun is getting higher, better get going.

ALL things for the Glory of God.

All of you are very talented and have plenty of energy to get things done! Welcome to the forum, Bullpine, and that sure is a neat hobby and I like what you carved, cute bear heads! I used to do a lot of things, but Ma doesn't do much any more except write poetry and long posts plus resting and sleeping! ZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZ  God Bless! Betty

Sounds to me like you are still a young man, I'm SO old they told me at work one day to go home and stay there and they would still send me a check sometime. Something sounds kind of fishy to me, BUT somebody does put some peanuts in my checking account the third Tuesday of every week.

I did some yard sale looking last year and there were a lot of people selling off their stamp collections and they were cheap too. I didn't have the money to buy any and I already have a collection I haven't done anything with since they started making sheets of stamps with each on different. Couldn't afford the sheets and each one individually wasn't worth much. So didn't see much sense in buying their collections to the one I have collecting dust.....buried in a box in the garage somewhere...or is it in the closet

Mine are all US stamps.

Crabby is an award winning newspaper photographer (Maryland, DC, Delaware Press Association). Now, he just shoot for his own enjoyment. He has 14 grandchildren that keep him busy. Being a crab I only have 10 appendages so I have to keep flippin four of'm.

I cook and do movies at church (full length features) and love my wife and do lots of stuff with her.

Hopefully this spring I'll be doing some gold prospecting in NC and VA.
