Our Daily Bread for Saturday, March 10, 2012

for example, my cousin, Lois, in MS had mowed her lawn, cleaned and swept up all the grass and etc even along the curb! She was visiting with the lady across the street and when she was ready to leave...a couple of guys next door to the lady had cleaned up their yard and curb but swept all of their grass and weeds into her curb! She watched them and they were laughing thinking it was really funny, I guess, and the lady said you need to sweep it all back to their curb! Lois said, NO, watch what I do....while the two men were watching and the lady, she took a broom reswept and cleaned her curb and put it in the trash! The guys were really embarrassed as they watched her and never again did that, and she never said a word to them just showed them who Jesus is by her Christian actions! By what she did, she piled coals of fire upon their heads and made them ashamed for what they had done to her an older lady of 77 years young! Our actions speak louder than any words! James says show me your faith by words and I will show you my faith by actions! Do unto others as we would have them do unto us! Amen! Ma Betty
