Our young buddy Brian...an update from about 8 hours ago.

The last couple of weeks have been very rough for Brian. The pain in his face and head are worse than ever and the pain meds aren't working.

Carol has tried to set an appointment with a pediatric pain management team but we have found out there is no such team, here or in Nashville. I tried calling his pediatrician this evening but the nurse on call said all we could do was try make it through the night and call the doctor in the morning. She was very understanding and sympathetic with our situation and felt bad she couldn't provide any help.

We are also going to call the plastic surgeon and see if we can schedule a tumor reduction surgery. We don't know what else to do.

The good news...

...Brian was nominated to have a dream fulfilled through The Dream Connection and we met with them yesterday afternoon. They asked Brian to name three things he would like to have or do and they would take them before the board for approval. He was very excited about being nominated and I will give more details later. They said it would be a few weeks before they would get back to us.

We are all very tired and stressed from lack of sleep and the frustration of not being able to control Brian's pain.

Praying for him and congrats to him on having a wish fulfilled! God is gooood and more than that! My prayer right now: Dear Lord, Please reach down to Brian with Your healing virtue and remove the terrible pain that is causing him and his family to suffer! We give You praise and know that You are still on Your heavenly throne bringing relief from the pain and suffering, along with peace and comfort to all of the family! Thank You in Jesus' precious name for hearing and answering our prayers for Brian, who is loved so much by You and all the brothers and sisters on this forum and others plus loved ones! Amen! We continue in prayer. God knows the pain that Brian is in. Sometimes we tend to question God and ask Why? Only God knows and He is in control. Just keep the faith. There are many people praying for you. God Bless you all. God will see you through.
