Beautiful day yesterday and as a reward for a job well done had to reward myself with some detecting. Guess God just did not want me to get rid of any of my detecting things.
Sherry has been without a kitchen sink for well over a year...as you remember for those who have been around for awhile it was plugged from one end to the other and my son-in-law had gotten acid on his skin. Well that got cleared up finally only to have the faucet leak like a sieve all over so had to replace the kitchen faucet. We thought our son-in-law could use some extra money and let him do it. Well, seems the younger generation prefers to take the easy way to do things. I ended up doing the job myself, taking time, patience and God's help. Sherry was happy to see she could use the sink once again. Yaaaaa!!!
So had to reward myself and go detecting. The old ball field did yield a couple wheat pennies (I think they were 1946 and 1956 - haven't cleaned them yet) and found a couple Memorial pennies in the same hole. Went to the township playground and found a clad quarter

and a Mason jar - well a Ball jar with lid. On top of a table in the picnic area

Went to another township park and found nothing. I did take some pics from that park of the lake

Not a big park but sometimes find a few coins.
At least I finally got out. Hope all had a great day yesterday and a better one today.
Blessings to all

Pete and having fun doing it is the best! Hope you get out again and find lots of nice goodies. Yeh, the younger generation don't know the quote: When you do something....do it well....or don't do it at all! But a person has to learn how to do the job and then they can do it well, as practice makes perfect...'tis said also!
