Out looking for silver coins again.

The great thing about today's site is that there is a great spot with lots of old coins and nearby is a large sports field with plenty of jewelry and clad opportunities. Started out for an hour with the 12.5 inch coil in the old coin spot and collected 7 wheats. I also got the smaller half of the silver St. Christopher medal. Now we all know the saying. I searched for the second half but it was no where to be found. I did do a very quick search for it and continued along my path. 25 or more feet away I got a great deep quarter signal. Here was my silver quarter for the day which was luckily the other half of my medal. There is still a tiny piece missing. Damn mowers! Also got the Africa button which if anybody knows anything about I'm interested. The button, not Africa. Moved along to the sports fields and got a mess of clad and the crucifix all with the big coil. My batteries died because I forgot to recharge them so I walked back to my truck to put in spares. I also swapped to the stock coil. Did half an hour in the old coin section and got a few more wheats and the blue Brownie pin. Meandered back to the sports field for an hour and got some more clad and the keys, probably locker keys. I headed back and decided to find 10 more coins in the old coin spot and head home. I got six coins and another wheat and decided to quit for the day. First target of the day was a wheat as was the last. Now, 12 wheats in one may not impress guys like my pal John in West Va., but it is my personal best. There were no great dates, in fact, I already had them all in my brag book. The oldest was 1938. Where were the silver coins? Not under my coil. I'll get 'em next time.

My gold drought is approaching critical stage.

Don't know about another hunt until next weekend so I hope some of you guys will give me a fix from time to time.

Chris
