From the land of the Bluenose....took Marie out for ice cream last night...quality time on a sultry evening and of course hit a water spot along the way. After a mere 6 coins totaling $2.66.............my machine died. Headphones for the Sea hunter finally bite the dust and no amount of begging, pleading or prodding could revive that soft rythmic purring.
Had called Mary P at "Garrett Central" on Thursday and explained the situation regarding my 3rd set of headphones which are approximately a year old. Glory be! She indicated that Garrett will replace them for free (minus shipping by courrier) once I send in my old set and a receipt. Of course who keeps receipts...da. So to expedite the process I ordered a new pair while talking to her and she indicated that I would be reimbursed later. Going on a trip with Marie who is on vacation starting next Friday and have changed a few shifts at work to coincide with her time off. Naturally I'm packing both my land and water machines just in case and would like to have both working to peak capacity. Finally tracked down where I made my purchase and sent an email.
Guess these days off it will be land digs or no digs. Tough choice as the injured wing is still a pain and have even taken a week off from umpiring......talk about withdrawl from verbal abuse....miss it already!
Past dealings with Garrett have been a most pleasurable experience and I trust this will be the same...after all headphones run over $100 Canadian. Moral of the story...never hurts to ask and save your receipts
